Popcorn!

We stopped at the mall and we were feeling a little snacky and of course had to get some popcorn.  It wouldn't be me with out being a dork and it is contagious, so mom is a dork too!
Jobi and grams eating their corn.  We went to the Layton Hills mall and it had changed so much.  It didn't even feel like the mall we used to go school clothes shopping at.  It felt really old and not even a little bit familiar.  We didn't stay long and the popcorn sucked.  We did have a great time together though.  It was fun to see mom again.

Barrel racing momma!

This is Mouse.  He is gorgeous, but kind of a weirdo!  What can you do?
This is cowboy Jobi riding Lucy.  Jobi was to nervous to ride Mouse.  Mouse is so curious all the time, so he looks a little jumpy.

Jobi posing with Ruby.
Cute cowgirl Sheila.  She did good this weekend and won some moola to proove it.  I love Lucy too.  She is such a good girl.

Frames

So, tonight I went to a party for my neighbors grand opening of her new store that is in her basement.  She had a really good idea for me to sell my picture frames that I make at her grand opening.  So I packed up my bin full of 30 of my frames and 5 of my friends and took them over to her house.  I sat there for three hours and came home with my 30 frames and my friends 5 frames.  I didn't sell even ONE!!  I was hoping to sell some frames, but now I am just ready for the next show or party!

What can you do?
Kate set that craft fair up.  I am ready to go!

Old white car

Last year Jon did a commercial for Provo Craft that featured the story of this homeless guy named Russell.  Everybody was so moved by his story that we all wanted to do something for him.  Provo Craft hired him to be the spokesperson for the Yudu machine that he used in the commercial.  They pay him monthly so he can afford an apartment and have a job so he no longer needs to be homeless.
Jon and I decided that we no longer needed the white Ford Escort Wagon that I have owned for 13 years.  Instead of selling it we decided we would just give it to Russell so he can drive to work and have a way to get from here to there.  Something that we considered to be old and kind of trashed meant the world to someone who didn't have a car at all.  Russell was so happy and excited when Jon called and told him that he had a car to give him that he started to cry and said that he loved Jon.
It is nice to feel like we helped someone who actually needed something and make a difference in their life.
I am glad that that car lasted so long for us.  It was a really good car that still got around 33 mpg after 14 years.  It was the first car that I bought myself.  It ended up being Jon's car for the last like 5 years.  You should have seen him get in and out of that thing!  Quite the site.  Thanks old white car for being so good to us and please be good to Russell!

Dying the eggs

The plan was to take white eggs and dye them to look like they were tye dyed, but that kit ripped me off!  I played with that plastic contraption for like 30 minutes and then you couldn't even tell that it was tye dyed.  We ended up just dying them mostly solid colors.  Boring!  That is the last time I spend over $2 for egg dye!

The egg finder, Jobi.  He was a pro.  There were only about 2 or 3 that I had to point out to him.
Jobi loved dying the eggs.  He is a little artist, but we already knew that.
Jon was so excited about eating all the candy in the eggs.  He had quite the loot.
Jobi and I were trying to figure out how to dye the eggs.  It was pretty fun.

Just a few more

Jonny enjoying the scenery.
Jobi being part of the scenery.  Hottie!
My two boys by the river in Zion.  I think we took a lot of pictures for only going camping for 2 nights.  We never even made it into the park!  Lame.....
I was searching for the perfect marshmallow stick.  It was pretty tricky.  Jon couldn't find the nice metal ones we have.  It wasn't the biggest problem we had on that trip, but we are glad we got to see that part of Utah.

More Zion

Just thought I would put some more pictures of our trip on here.  Some of you might have already seen these on facebook, but I thought I would still put them on.  Nothing else exciting has been happening, so this is what you get!
This is our silly little Jobi.  Always trying to make people laugh.

The camping dog.  She acts like she is pretty out doorsy, but she isn't.
Here are the sketch artists.  They were just sketching the local scenery together.  What cute boys I have!

Zion or bust!

Well, we decided to rent a RV and hit the road to Zion National Park.  We were going to be gone a week and go all around south Utah.  Things didn't actually go as planned.  Jon's sleep machine broke and we only got to stay 2 nights.  It just seemed like everything that could go wrong did.  We came home early and we were happy to be home.  It was very pretty there and we plan to go back soon.
At least we had great views while we were stuck inside the camper.  Did I mention that the wind blew almost the whole time we were there.  Fun, Fun!
Jobi kept showing me how he can skip rocks.  He kept getting better and better.
Jon took this great shot and it looks really good.  It could go on the wall.
Couldn't beat the views.  Can't wait to go back!
