A Couple Pics of the Remodel and Some Randoms

I thought this picture of Jobi was so cute and funny. He was wearing some of my glasses and sitting in the front seat. He looked like a little old lady to me and a mix of a skater boy. Is it just me? HaHa!
What a handsome boy! He doesn't get any cuter.
Another great shot of my boy. He is so into football and basketball. He knows everything about every detail and player in both sports. It's amazing how much he knows. I love how passionate he is about sports and I hope it continues as he keeps getting older.

This is the new baby's room/Jon's old office. We put up wainscoting and a shelf and painted the walls and ceiling blue. It looks really good.
This is the shelf that is part of the wainscoting. I love it! We clearly need to get the carpets cleaned! I hope the furniture we choose goes good in here. I'll take pictures of that along the way too. I'm so excited to see it all done. Our Carpenter did a great job. He is the best!

Ultrasound

This is an updated picture of the baby bump and the baby's new room. We went and got an ultrasound this weekend and found out it is for sure a boy and he looks normal. We can hardly wait to meet him. He just needs to grow some more.
Here is me at the ultrasound. My best friend Lisa was in town for the ultrasound. It was so nice that she got to be there with me and Jon and Jobi. She is as excited as we are to welcome a new Gelder boy into our family.
Here is a little baby hand all opened up. It is so cute and weird to think of how tiny it actually is. I love to see him move all around and all the tiny baby body parts. How lucky am I that I get to experience this all again. I never thought I would get to experience being pregnant again or get the chance to be a mother of 2. I can't wait for June. It seems so far away.

I stole some of these pictures from Erin's blog, but I wanted them on mine too! We recently made a quilt for my mom for her birthday and we used old pictures on the quilt. Here are some that we used. This is a family photo of me growing up. We are just missing little Kate. This was in 1979. Isn't my mom soooo pretty in this picture? I loved her hair.

This was when I was in High School. I look so young. Time flies.
High School Graduation! That was only almost 16 years ago. That sounds like forever! What good looking parents I have.
In high school we went to Big Sky skiing as a family and here is a photo of it. For some reason I got to bring my high school boyfriend. He was my boyfriend and my best friend and he was also one of Joey's best friends. So, we had a lot of fun. Everyone has grown up so much since then.

Random December Shots

The dogs got a candy cane chewstick for Christmas. Quincy got it first because she's the oldest. They still haven't finished it! The old lady just gums it.
Here is a blurry picture of her first getting it. Haines kept trying to take it away and Quincy didn't like that at all.
Jon and his little girl, Haines. She gets tired at night and starts getting pretty snuggly.
Ruby was resting her head on Haines' back. They both get glued to the fire when it is on. They love it.

Jon carries Haines around like a purse a lot. She has a lot of extra skin still. She doesn't even get upset.
I'm not sure who this nerd is. I think he just sat in the hot tub and made some awesome hair doo.
It's like they are in love. They are always resting in the sun if the fire isn't on.
A picture of our crooked Christmas tree. I ended up adding a bunch of clear lights to make it not so blue. Next year we are getting a fake tree because Jon has had it with putting up a real one and all the drama thats involved in getting it straight and staying in the stand with out it tipping over.

P.S. Haines chewed our couch tonight to the point that we have to get rid of it. I am so mad and it makes me not want to go out and buy a new one because she will just chew it up too! Naughty girl! She is the worst puppy i've ever had!

Crazy Hat Day

We went to my grandma and grandpa's house to clean it out recently and we came upon some old hats we used to play with when we were little. Reese looks lovely in this purple number. She wanted to try them all on and have her picture taken, but somehow I just got this one of her.

A Couple Pictures of Our New Little Boy

So, it's a boy! We are so excited that we finally know what kind of baby we are having! We were kind of expecting a girl, so a boy was a bit of a surprise. We decided to find out what we were having early so we can start shopping and planning. There is a place in the mall called, Fetal Studio, and they do an ultrasound to see what you're having as early as 14 weeks. I was 14 weeks this week, so we decided to find out! This picture is of the butt view. You can clearly see the little penis on the picture.
This picture is a little harder to see it, but it was very clear to see on the monitor. We also got to see the baby move all around and have the hick ups and kick his legs all around. It was the cutest thing to watch. I could watch my baby on the screen all day. So cute! Jobi's whole face lit up when he got to hear the heart beat and when he found out it was a boy. He is so excited to be a big brother and to a boy especially!
I'm getting big already! My stomach isn't the only thing thats growing either. I'm scared to see what I will look like in 6 months! Yikes! I hope you guys are all as excited as we are.

Not Christmas, Halloween!

I thought about being Jobi for Halloween, but Jon didn't think I looked liked him enough. I wore his hat and shirt and shoes and borrowed his football. Maybe it was the curly blonde hair that didn't work. Pretty funny though and Jobi is always pulling that face!

A-Train Basketball

Look at my son, the rock star! Jobi was on a team this fall called, A-Train For Youth. He learned a lot. The league didn't have enough players for the 3rd/4th graders, so they had to play up against the 5th/6th graders. They lost every game, but tried really hard. They did win the last game that was the finals. I was happy for that!

Jobi played really well and is now on another team called Jr. Jazz. I'm sure we will have more on that later. He is so fun to watch. He gets better every game too!

California Girls Trip

My best friend, Lisa and myself went to California at the beginning of November for a girls only weekend. We left our kids and husbands home and stayed at her Dad and Step mom's house. They were so nice to us and they were such great hosts. Lisa and I had a great time together. I can never get enough Lisa time!
Lisa drove me all over the place. We drove all over Beverly Hills and down all the famous streets. We went to Santa Monica, Venice Beach, Beverly Hills, Manhattan Beach, you name it! Lisa was a great driver. I was so glad it wasn't me driving around.The sunset was so pretty and it was raining too. So pretty!
This was just on the side of a building. I thought Jobi would like to have seen it.

I took a picture of me in the car on the way to breakfast. We had a lot of fun.

We just found out last monday that we will be having another baby in June 2012. We are pretty surprised! We weren't expecting that at all. We haven't tried to have a baby in over 3 years. Jobi just turned 10 in October and we were really just starting to plan our lives when he moves away to college. We are so very happy though! What a great surprise! I wanted to post my 3 sister's reactions I caught on video.

I know you have been wondering what I would look like when I am older, well, here it is! Thanks to my loving husband, I now know. It's kind of funny.
Here is the original. I sent it to Jon so he could see my reaction to the next picture.
Jon was out of town and I got a surprise delivery of flowers just to tell me that he loves me. So sweet! It was seriously one of the prettiest bouquets of flowers I have ever have.
Scary Jobi. He wanted me to take a picture of him so he could see. I thought it was pretty scary looking.
Here is a recent picture of the baby. She is getting so big. She is finally growing into her ears! We love her and we feel like she has so much of Wagner in her. He definitely chose the Hainey to be in our family.

It's finally here. My jewelry got published in Bead Trends Magazine. It looks so good to. I have this turquoise bracelet and the earrings pictured below in the October issue and I have 2 or 3 items coming out in November's issue. I am so excited and it makes me want to send in more items.
Here are the earrings. The photography looks so nice to. I have to say thanks to my sister Joey. She is the one who made me enter all my pieces in the magazine. I am so happy she did. I think it's pretty cool. Thanks Joey! I can't wait to show you all in person.

We went to Target shopping with Kate and her kids in Idaho Falls the last time I was in Idaho. I love my Reesie and she loves to shop and all things girly. She is so fun!

Priest Lake Camping Trip 2011

I love this picture for some reason. Jon doesn't really see it, but I really just love this pic.
Jon was telling me about this stretch that he uses all the time for his low back. My back was hurting from camping for so long and it was hurting before too! While I was trying it he of course took a picture. It looks like I'm doing yoga or something!
I love this picture! It was our first night on our trip and we went and ate at Lolo Creek Steakhouse. It was one of our favorite places to eat when we lived there 12 years ago.
My pictures are out of order, but you get the general idea! Jobi wanted me to bury him in the sand at the beach at Priest Lake. It looked like he really enjoyed it!
I only showered every 2 days on this camping trip. This was after huckleberry picking one day and we were going out to eat.
This one is just a classic picture of Ruby. I don't even think this is from camping, but I had to share it!

Look at those colors. This is one of my favorite pictures of the trip. It is just so pretty up there in the summer. There was a sign there this year that dogs aren't allowed in the water. I don't know why. Someone always has to ruin it for others. Quincy loved to swim in that lake over the years and Wagner too. Ruby learned to swim there 3 or 4 years ago.
Jobi was obsessed with the beach. He loved it! I can't wait to take him to Hawaii someday.

Summer Camping Trips

For our 2nd family camping trip this year, we invited Jobi's best friend, Brynlee. They played and played and had so much fun. I felt like I had a daughter. It was a lot of fun!

The kids enjoyed some popsicles. We have a freezer in our camper that lets us bring a few frozen treats with us, which is really nice when its hot.

We have never leashed our dogs up when we go camping in campgrounds. Every once and awhile we would put a leash on them and just make them walk around with them on. Well, the camp hosts at this joint were pretty persistent about it. They told us if they had to tell us again we would be kicked out. She was pretty hard to understand the first time because I couldn't hardly understand her through her mouth with no teeth in it! So, of course, we forgot the leashes. Jon had some old parachute rope in the camper and thats what we used. It was so funny because Ruby and Quincy were like, "what the heck is this all about." They looked like some white trash hillbilly dogs!

Introducing our newest littlest addition, Haines Gelder. She is a Boston Terrier just like Ruby. She is so cute and so loving. She is a great puppy so far. Aren't they cute?

Here is a happy girl. She loves to be in the front yard. The bad thing is that she can't hear worth anything. She will just take off until she realizes she is too far away. You have to use hand signals and Ruby helps guide her. Isn't she cute though?
Ruby doesn't look to pleased, but she was happy here. She always looks like she is sitting like a human. She is just the cutest thing!
Here are some flowers from my front yard. The bright pink gerber daisies are still working on coming up through the middle. It is so much better in person!
Here is one of my hanging baskets up close. They are so pretty and everyone stops to ask me where I got them at. That white flower is only one plant the lady told me. It's huge! They are so pretty.

Unfortunately, Jon bought the pair of shoes for himself that I have been forbidding him to buy. I always thought that Crocks looked fine on kids, but I really don't enjoy seeing adults wear them! I know they say they are comfortable, but why can't they be cuter? I secretly just like to give him a lot of crap.

Carlile / Yard

This is Carlile. He is a little tom cat that adopted us at the beginning of this year. He finally lets us pet him now, but he isn't super friendly. Jon named him and he lives outside on our front porch. He is a little scroungy, but he seems happy now! He is pretty cute for a scabby boy!
Here are a few photos of my front yard this year. It is fun to see how big and different the plants can be from year to year. Jon got the grass all dialed in so it looks a lot better this year.
I had to replace a few plats this year and trim most of the bushes back, but I think it turned out pretty good. I should take an after picture in the fall to see how different it looks then.

Here is my garden in the back yard. It's small, but a perfect size for my small yard. My peas and spinach have really taken off the best so far. Beans have been the biggest dud so far. I can't wait to eat tomatoes and beans and lettuce! Yum, yum, give me some!

A couple of family weekends

Awe! What a cute little couple. I thought they looked so cute, I just had to share. This was at Ryker's birthday party. I waited for quite awhile for Kate to post her pictures from it and it hasn't happened, so here are mine. I haven't been very good at taking pictures lately, so consider yourselves very lucky a snapped a few here. I need to be better.

I am quite the photographer though! Just look at my great canvas and all I had to do to make her look fabulous was add a hat. Now she is a masterpiece.
Here is my dad wearing a necklace I made that is really long on me, but a choker on him. He looks like a native american in that necklace. I always thought/wished I was part indian!

I had bought Reese a new night gown and cape for her birthday. She took her hair out of her ponytail buns so she would really look like a princess. I think she nailed it!

Jobi Gelder, Super Star!

Jobi did spring basketball this year and had a great time. We will be doing fall and spring basketball from now on. It was fun to watch him play and then have a break and start playing again. There wasn't enough time to get sick of it! So here are some pictures of the spring basketball. He played really good. He is going to be a star!

Colorado

Thanks for all the love for Wagner! I know everyone loves him.

We are in Colorado this week visiting friends and seeing old places we use to go. We are having fun so far and we are staying with my friend Lisa and her family. She just remodeled her house and added on and it is truly amazing. I will have to take some pictures. We are headed up to Woodland Park today to visit old friends and to see our old stomping grounds. It should be fun, but it is a little colder up there. It is like 14 degrees or more warmer at Lisa's house. That's what you get at 9,000 ft elevation!

I will try to take some photos.

Goodbye to Our Good Boy

Here are a few pictures to honor our best boy dog, Wagner. We have to put him to sleep tonight at 6:00 and the time is going by way to fast today. He has a neurological problem that is making his back legs not communicate to his brain. It is so sad to watch. So here are a few pictures in his memory.

He has been the best dog and 12 years has gone by way to fast. Everyone who spends time with him always tell us how much they love him. He will be missed terribly. We love you, Big Nose.

Moab Trip

This is at the top of the Delicate Arch hike we went on. I think this is such a cute picture. Just me and my boy.
This one is right before you turn the corner and see the Delicate Arch. Jobi was super scared to be so close to the edge and so he had to keep ahold of this rock wall.

We went on two hikes and Jon went on a few bike rides. We had such a great time.
This is by where we camped. It's weird to see the snowy mountains in the background when it is so nice at the camp site.
Jobi and Ruby on the mountain right next to our campsite. She is a little hiking machine and so is Jobi. He can run and run up a mountain and jump around and still not be tired. While Jon and I are stopping to catch our breath. I wish I had that kind of energy.

Snowboarding with Sawyer

We decided to go snowboarding the day before cousin Sawyer's birthday. These two helmet heads are Jobi and Sawyer. They did have fun together, but it did have some bumps!
Here I am eating lunch. It was pretty cold that day, but we had fun. We wished that Joey and Jaren could have come. That would have been more fun.

We went up to Brighton for Jobi's 2nd snowboarding lesson. He did awesome. Take a look. Next he will be learning his turns. What a quick learner!

Valentine's Day Date

For Valentine's Day, Jon planned us a trip to Park City to go have dinner in a yurt at the top of Park City Resort. It was fun to have just a date night kind of alone. We got to ride in a big sled pulled by a snowcat all the way to the top of the ski hill. The views were really great. When we got to the yurt we had a big dinner and then came back home. The part I didn't really like was that we were around other people the whole time. At our table we had 2 other couples that I didn't really care to talk to or to get to know. I just wanted to talk with Jon and have a more private conversation. We still had a great time, but we both are not in a rush to go do it again! Also, Jon cooks at home a lot and his food was way better than the professional chef we had cooking for us there. What can I say? Jon knows how to cook a steak.

Thanks to my friend Becky for watching Jobi for me. She is great at doing favors like that for us.

Look at this little pioneer girl we found shopping for Christmas bargains. We decided we would take her along with us.
I told these pioneers that we were never going to find the promise land and this is what they looked like.
Then I said that we did find the promise land. This is the place! They were over joyed. It looks like Kate was the happiest. She is praising the Lord! What a bunch of lovely ladies. We had so much fun shopping.

Girls Weekend

My mom and sisters came down to Utah to go Christmas shopping last weekend. We had so much fun. One of the places we went was Ikea of course. We decided we should pretend to be mannequins throughout the whole store. Here is Kate modeling a really comfy chair.

Are you buying it? You should have seen what she was doing in this chair after this shot. I will not post those pics for her safety! They are much too funny.

So, Joey wasn't modeling here. She didn't even know I took her picture. She looks pretty hot.
Reese even got in on the action. She is such a natural. I love this gal!

Christmas Lights

This is how I decorated my house this year. I got the toy soldiers on clearance last year after Christmas. I did add one more thing to the pillars in the front. I just think it turned out cute. This year I have just been in the mood to get the decorations up early and I have been dying to get the tree up, but I haven't convinced Jon yet. He hasn't been in the mood just yet. Soon enough!
We went to the movie last weekend and I saw this movie sign of Jobi's twin. I made him take a picture with it and he wasn't happy about that. It turns out that Jobi doesn't look that much like Justin Bieber. Here is the proof.

Rexburg visit

So this isn't in Rexburg, but I thought he was too cute not to put on the blog. He has cut his hair short since this pic and it is to cold to wear flip flops, but look how cute!!
Joey is always trying to kiss me all the time. We are so in love! It was such a special moment.
This is me, Joey, my mom, and Erin in the Winco parking lot in Idaho Falls. We had to go get some granola fixings and we had a fun time. My mom has a phone that reads your text messages to you so we were texting funny things to her phone so we could hear the computer say it in such a funny way. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time! The sentence, Joey is a cotton headed ninny muggins doesn't sound too funny here, but it is a riot when the computer lady reads it to you.

That is a little better. Joey was really cold and had to wear her hat everywhere in the house, I guess. She is a little bit weirder than the rest of us.

Jobi's Birthday

This picture wasn't on Jobi's Birthday, but it looks like I am in a party hat!
My mom made Jobi this awesome Denver Broncos blanket. He loves it and sleeps with it every night. They are one of his favorite teams. Don't they look so great and cute? I think so!
Jobi had two birthday cakes because he had a friends party and a family party. This one was the family cake. It was a DQ ice cream cake with a skate boarder on it. My sisters came and we went to Jumping Jacks to let the kids run around and they did and everyone had a great time.
This one is just a simple friends skateboarding cake that I made. I am not a cake decorator my any means. Jobi really liked it so that works for me! He got a WII for his birthday so they had a video game party for him. They had a great time.

Spring Yard Summer Yard

This was my front yard just after I got my new flower baskets on Memorial Day.
This is my flower baskets just a couple of weeks ago. Look how much my baskets have grown.
I really enjoyed these baskets that I got this year in Idaho. I couldn't find any around here that were as big as these. I can't wait to see the all the flowers again next year. I am not ready for the snow coming. Boo!

My weird animals

Loki and Maisey sharing a bed. Loki usually doesn't hang out with the other cats because nobody really likes him. He is a really weird cat, but I love him.
Any kind of box or sack, my cats can't stay out of it. It gets pretty funny to catch them in the act of being weird. It's usually Maisey or Frito that is the weirdest.
Loki never hangs out with the family so if you know him at all, this is a weird occurence! Ruby just wants to know why Loki is hanging out in her bed.
This is Ruby's Halloween costume. She is going to be a fairy. The last two years she has been a lady bug, so this will be a nice change.
Ruby won a gold medal! Just kidding. She is wearing my new necklace. That gave me an idea to make her a necklace that she will wear as a collar. I don't have a picture of it, but it looks really cute. She looks like a little lady!
Maisey is not scared of anything. Ruby and Maisey follow me wherever I go. I guess they are getting used to sleeping right next to each other because of that. I think it is pretty cute.
Maisey might not be afraid of anything but a door closed behind her. This was the front door shut with her stuck outside. She gets so worried, but she is so curious of the outdoors.

Tonsilectomy

So, two weeks ago I got my tonsils out and I was expecting it to be totally awful. All I heard from everyone was how bad it was and how it is so much worse as an adult. I heard it hurts so bad, you don't even want to swallow your own spit and that it is the worse sore throat that you ever had.

I am happy to report that it really wasn't that bad. I had some pain killers that helped me get through it though. It has just been over 2 weeks and I feel almost normal. It still hurts to yawn, but it wasn't too bad. I went back to the doctor and he said that I was in the 5% of people who don't have a bad time with this surgery. To tell you the truth, I am usually in the percentage who have it the worse, so I am happy I was lucky this time.

My mom came to help take care of my the day I had my surgery and we ended up having a fun time. We went to Target shopping and we even worked on our beaded stuff. Thanks mom for coming. I appreciate it and I love you!

FYI, I apologize for the slutty picture of me, but Jon made me pose that way! He is a nerd.

Bowling

Awe! Isn't that cute? We went bowling like a month or so ago and took some pictures of the big event.
Jon is teaching Jobi how to bowl. Jobi was so mad that he couldn't get it right. I think he is going to be super hard on himself when it comes to sports as he gets older. All I can tell him is to keep practicing and thats how you get better. He of course doesn't like that answer! It's probably how I felt growing up when my dad said if I just go in and clean my room, it would take 15 minutes. I always thought in my head, Ya Right! Good times.

This was a picture of Jobi's Amish haircut. We went and got his haircut and the girl basically just cut his bangs straight across and left the rest. It looked fine when we left because it was still wet. I had to go somewhere else to get it recut. It was not good!

Jon's Loot

Jon's birthday was on the 1st of October and so I woke up early and took him out to breakfast first thing. I had to take a picture of him for his big day for Facebook and this is the magical shot. I bought him this ring he is wearing for his birthday. It is a ring we found in Alaska that he really liked and he didn't buy it. It is a wolf ring that is made by a Native Alaskan Indian Artist. It looks really great on his big finger too!
Some other gifts he got was this Everyday Food cookbook and a Pacific Northwest Art Eagle mug. He also got a handmade incense burner and a speaker system for his Iphone, a new camp chair that is super comfy(not pictured), and another cookbook magazine.
He got pretty spoiled! That night we had our old neighbors/friends over for dinner and cake and had a great time. Annie, the friend we had over, makes really great food and desserts. Jon asked if she could make him another Red Velvet cake this year for his birthday. It was so good and it was gone the next day. Thanks to the Pagett's for the company and cake!

Seattle Trip

We went to Seattle again a couple of weekends ago for the Nebraska Huskers football game against the Washington Huskies. We met up with Roger and Linda and the boys had a great time. I think Jobi will remember that fun game forever.
Roger and Linda stayed at Linda's sister's house in Seattle and of course they are big Washington fans and they made Jobi try on the Husky hat. It was pretty cool. They all had a great time.
Jobi loved to watch the fish be thrown around at the fish market. People seem to loose their heads at places like the Pikes Market. People will come stand right in front of you to take a picture or to just get a better view of the fish throwing. Hello - I am 5'3" people and my son is shorter than that. People/tourists just loose their heads when something cool is going on. Other than that, the fish market was fun!
Of course we had to send Roger to the fat booth. He looks great!
On our last day we went over to West Seattle to the beach. We could stay there all day. It is fun to hang out by the water and hear the calm of the waves splashing the beach. It so beautiful too.

Steamboat Springs

My friend Lisa and her kids met up with me in Steamboat Springs, CO. We had a fun weekend of hanging out and shopping and eating and swimming. While at the pool one night we had to take some fat booth photos of course! Here is mine.
Lisa looks great! She hasn't changed a bit.
We also rode the Alpine slide. Jobi was very scared to ride the first time, but acted super tuff. He said he changed his mind and didn't want to do it anymore. I talked him into it though and he really want to ride it again and again. We did end up riding it twice.
This is the ride up the mountain. Jobi and his old Bff, Bailey got along great and it was like no time had passed at all. They had a great time together.
We went to play at a park and Jobi got to be king of the hill. I thought it looked to cool to be ignored.

Mom and Dad campout

My mom and dad invited us all over for a campout at their house. We started a fire in my moms new fire pit and had hot dogs and marshmallows. My sister Joey has good speakers on her trailer and we danced and sang by the fire. We had some fun.

Jobi learned to drive the Razor and its more like a golf cart type of 4 wheeler. He kept saying that he can drive a regular car now.

You are probably really sick of Alaska by now, but these are the last of them. We ate at this restaurant that use to be Jon's favorite when he lived in Alaska. This was in Steward. It was good food.

Almost the last of Alaska

We took this train from Anchorage to Denali. It was one of our favorite things. It had a little eating area and they had some of the best food on our whole trip. It was very comfortable too.
In Denali we were lucky enough to see wolves and then we saw wolves with puppies. I guess this is a really rare thing. They were so cute playing with each other and wrestling.
This picture was taken at midnight one night. We were there for the summer solstice. It was pretty crazy to be up at 1 in the morning and it seemed like it was like 8 at night. We got like no sleep on that whole trip, but we had a lot of fun.
It looks like Jobi finally blew his top. Poor kid. No there was a fire in Fairbanks. They don't put the fire out unless they are endangering houses. It was 75 degrees in Fairbanks and it felt like it was 95. I guess it is just closer to the sun.
I think my son is the cutest boy. He is so photogenic too. I think this one was taken in Talkeetna.

Denali

Here is Denali. I guess it is super rare to get such a clear shot of Mt. Denali. It is such a different experience in person. It is definitely a monster of a mountain.
Jobi isn't such a bad photographer is he? We had such a great time in this town we stayed in before we went into Denali park. It was called Talkeetna. It was a cute little town to explore and there was a river Jobi really liked to hang out by. The people were very nice there too.
There were really pretty flowers all over the place. If anyone knows what kind this pink flower is, please let me know.
This was inside Denali National Park. It looked a lot different than I thought. I wasn't like trees everywhere. I thought pine trees would be everywhere just like on the cruise ship going along the inside passage. There aren't regular cars aloud inside the park and we had to take a school bus tour all the way in and out. It was fun, but long.
We saw some animals while we were there. Bears, wolves and puppies, snow hares, and caribou.

Some Jonny love. It's so pretty in Seattle. I love being so close to the ocean. I have always felt some connection to the ocean and dolphins and whales. I just love them so much.
We love totem poles at our house. They have a couple of cool ones right by the market. If I didn't live in an HOA I would totally have one in my yard somewhere.
Got to love the Orca totem. I love Pacific Northwest art. Thanks to Alaska for finally giving my house some of that art for my house. I think that is all of our anniversary pictures. Looking forward to going back to Seattle in September.

We went to the space needle and got to see the view from way up there. We stood in line to see it for like 2 hours. It was so crowded up there too. It was really pretty up there though. I had never been up there before. I think Jobi would really like to see that view. Pretty nice.

11th Year Anniversary

It seems like we always do bigger anniversaries on the odd years, but we have fun no matter what we do. This year Jon was going to be in Seattle already and we thought it would be fun to meet up there. We had a blast. I didn't want to go home! My good friend Becky said she would watch Jobi for me and I was happy she did. We needed the break.
We ate at this really good place right at the top of Pike's Market. We had a great view of the market and the ocean and a bunch of flowers. It was so pretty. Here is the happy couple enjoying our view.
We stopped at the Apple store to check out new headphones so I captured the moment!
We ate at a sushi place that the food moved around on a conveyor belt. It felt a little cafeteria ish, but it was really good. I saw a place to eat like this on The Hills, so it must be hip.

This was in one of our many cab rides. More to come of our Seattle trip and I never finished Alaska. You are all probably sick of hearing of Alaska! Too Bad!

Sled Dog Camp and Whale

Jobi and I went to a dog sledding camp in Juneau while Jon went fishing. We got to meet one of the puppies named Euro. He was a cutie. It was fun to see those dogs work so hard to please their owner and they just love to work.
This was the lead dogs that pulled us on our cart.
This was the cart we got pulled on and look how many dogs pulled us. The went really fast too. We had fun.
We went on a whale watching tour in Hoonah. We got so close to the humpback whales. This one was a young whale and he loved to jump and show off. It was so cool. We were so close. The water was so blue because of the glaciers breaking off into the ocean. They were jumping all around us. Our tour was guaranteed to see whales and we did.
My cute boys trying not to get wet. This was Seward. It was really pretty there. We got off our cruise ship in Seward. It was a long time on a boat trapped with so many other tourist. We were really happy to get off the ship.

Hubbard Glacier. Enough said! It was awesome. You could hear the thunder sound of the glacier falling apart. It was pretty cool.
We got to the glacier pretty early in the morning, but we managed to get out of bed to go see it.
It was cold.

This was Jobi's pet whale we found in Seward. We liked Seward a lot.

Alaska Part 2

This is a town called Hoonah or Icy Straight Point. This is were we went whale watching, but I will post those next. It was our first really sunny day on the water. It was nice.
Jobi and I were exploring the tide pools. We found lots of cool rocks and hermit crabs. It was fun to show Jobi all those things. He thought it was pretty awesome.
I think this shot is of Juneau. I am mixing up all the pictures on accident. I was trying to do it in order, but you get the idea! Juneau was really pretty. Look how green it is.
Uh-oh! Jobi should know not to feed the bears. The bears were everywhere!

Alaska Part 1

Jobi was really obsessed with basketball on the ship. He even wanted to play in the rain. He is a good player. All he wants to do when he is home is play basketball.
This was our room on the ship. It was pretty small. Next time if we go on a cruise, we want the room with a balcony! That is mostly what we did on the ship. Sit out on the deck and watch the scenery go by.
It was so pretty there. It looks just like I expected it to.
This is us leaving Ketchican. Cruise ships are just lined up at the ports. It's like the tiny town just gets invaded.

Alaska

North to Alaska

I hope you guys are ready for a ton of pictures! I will try to keep them coming fast. I know I am not the best at posting often. Get over it!
This is the year we finally got to go to Alaska as a family. We did a week long cruise to the places you can only get to by boat and airplane. Then a week on the interior of the state. It was fun. We left from Vancouver, B.C. and flew home from Fairbanks, AK. This is Jobi on the ship playing basketball. It was very rainy while we were on the ship. It was beautiful though.
This is Vancouver in the background. Jobi is so photogenic.

Garden

I got to plant a garden this year and I was so excited. I thought that my garden had died when I was out of town because I went over to check on it when we got back from Moab and someone had shut my water off and then we had to go out of town again and someone had shut my water off again. I had given up. I didn't go over to the garden for about 2 1/2 weeks and I decided to go get my house and call it quits. When I got there, this is what I found.....seedlings!
These are my peas. I don't know how they even grew with me not watering them for so long, but here they are. Aren't they cute?!?
These are my carrots. Don't judge me because they aren't in a straight line! I also have beans and tomatoes and red peppers and pumpkins, oh my! I am so excited about my first garden.
I finally got my new flower baskets up and they look beautiful. I took these pictures on my phone so they aren't the best pictures, but I will still have to upload the ones from my camera. I think they look great.
I had to buy my flower baskets in Rexburg this year because no nursery's around South Jordan had the big full baskets I was looking for. I am so glad I was in the area to buy them on our way home from West Yellowstone.

Moab

We decided to go on our first camping trip of the season to Moab this year. I had never been there before and Jon and Jobi have been there. It was beautiful.
I don't know what kind of snake this is, but we almost hit it in the car. Freaky!
Our friends Mickaela and Joe came with us and we had a great time.
We went on a hike and the rock cliffs were so steep and flat. It was so pretty and green. Ruby was the only dog on the hike because she is the only young one and the others were so sore from running around. She had a lot of fun, but she got super tired too.
Jobi is King of the Hill! He had a blast on the hike.

Best Apron Ever!!

Mom is in town for one of her horse competitions and we decided to go shopping! We went to Quilted Bear and we found an aisle that had home made aprons. We found this one that looks like a wedding dress/ballerina costume. It was too funny!
If this isn't a Pretty, Pretty, Princess, I don't know what is! Isn't this great? I would have bought it, but it was $99. Too much for dress up!

Snowboarding in Steamboat

For Spring Break we went to Steamboat Springs, CO to meet up with Jon and go snowboarding. Jon had been there for about a week working and Jobi and I went to see him and a vacation. We ended up having a great time. It is really nice there and I love the little shops.
This is at the airport waiting for our flight. We got stuck at the Denver airport for 5 hours and ended up spending the night there. It all worked out and we had a great time.
This is Jon's best friend here. He is always on his phone. He says it is for work, but everytime I catch a glimpse of it, he's on Facebook. Busted! We had just gone into the lodge to eat and we were waiting for our food.
Jobi learned how to snowboard while we were there. He really liked it. He said he wants a snowboard of his own now. I was tempted to teach him myself, but Jon talked some sense into me and we got him a group lesson. I think I would have been in trouble for sure if I would have just taught him. He would get mad and ignore me when I would come by and check on him. Just like his dad!!
These pictures are really dark, but he sure looked like a cute snowboard boy.

This is the funniest picture I own. I don't know what Jobi did, but it must have been shocking! Grandpa's face is hilarious. This was in Colorado when grandpa and grandma drove there to see us. It was pretty fun!

Have you ever seen a cuter jib? I know I haven't. This is when we lived in Coeur d'Alene. I can't believe how little he is.
Look at these little puppies. Jobi was such a cute boy with such a fun personality. He still is.

Blast from the Past

I came across an old email of Jobi learning to ride his bike in Colorado. He looks so little. That cool bike got stolen from the apartment we moved into once we got to Utah. People suck!

He would get so mad when he would fall. I thought he would never learn to ride, but he hung in there like a trooper.
The road looks so orange. Weird how fast things change.
What a weirdo! Who is this crazy person? It was too embarrassing not to show.

Uncle Chad's visit

Uncle Chad was in town for one night before he flew out to Belize for his fishing trip. Jobi and I met him at his hotel by the airport. When we got there he was in the process of trying on all his new gear for his trip. He had a bandana type thing that was a loop that goes around your neck and head. His is the color of a Rainbow Trout.
Here is Rainbow Trout Chad and his awesome fly fishing gloves. We all had to try them on.
Jobi was not impressed with our funniness. Chad and I were laughing so hard at each other. I don't remember the last time I laughed so hard. It was fun.
That is better. Not so pouty.
Oh, cute as a bugs ear! Thanks for the fun time Chad. Every time I see a 4runner just like mine, I think about how we tried to get in the car and we couldn't because it wasn't my car! We are nerds, but we know how to have fun.

New Hobby

I have been wanting to start to make jewelry again for about 2 years now and finally made some time to get started. Here is just a taste.

I went to a gem faire at the Expo Center and loaded up on some beads. It was a lot of fun and real silver adds up quickly so I couldn't stay too long! I was making it harder than it had to be in my head, so I would never get started on any bead projects. Now I think I might be obsessed! Thanks Joey for the awesome tools for my birthday a couple years ago. They work great. Now I just need to get started on all my ideas for beaded watches! J/K

This was a cool magnetic wall that had tubes that you put balls in and see them go through the track they made.

Kid's Museum

Jobi has been off track for a few weeks and has been getting pretty bored. I decided to take him and his bff Brynlee to the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum. At first they thought it was pretty lame, but it got better. This picture is them at the little grocery store.
They had some fun on the climbing wall.

This is the construction area. All these pictures are on the main floor. At first that is all that we thought there was and the kids were pretty disappointed. Then I heard a mom ask her kids if they were ready to go upstairs and then we got excited that there was more to see. They really liked the upstairs. The downstairs was more for littler kids.

Not nearly enough North Carolina

I had so much fun visiting Jill in North Carolina. I didn't realize that I didn't post all the cute pictures I took while I was there.
Me and a horse at a petting zoo! He was so cute. What a great photo op!
This was the prettiest picture. It was such a pretty day with all the fall colors. Jill and I had a great time.
More pics of J and H. I would love to go back to the East coast and explore. It is so different there. Trees galore. You can't even tell where you are at on the Interstate. It was very interesting.
This was the biggest mansion and we went on a tour and it was really cool. It's called the Biltmore Mansion. A husband and wife and their child lived there. They had a whole wing just for the help. It was really pretty!

Last summer

I never posted pictures from the 4th of July, so I guess better late than never. We had so much fun that we wanted to go back again this year too! We were visiting Jon's Dad and his wife Linda in Cody, WY and we had never been there for the 4th before. Aren't they so cute?
We went to the bull riding competition at the rodeo and it was so fun. The bulls are the best part of the rodeo I think!
We stopped in Yellowstone and saw some geysers. Jobi had never seen one before. He thought it was really cool.
This one was his favorite!

Jobi's poor mouth!

This is close by Jobi's mouth. He was at my friends house and jumped off a chair and hit the corner of the tv. That has been almost 2 months ago and he still has like a little marble inside the cut. It makes it so you can see his dimple for sure! He still looks really cute, don't worry about that.
Here are the 4 teeth Jobi had to get pulled. One of them split in half. He had to have them removed because he was cursed with the Gelder teeth and there isn't any room for his adult teeth to come in. The dentist said if we pull these teeth then he won't have to have braces on for as long. Lucky Jobi!
I was a little more nervous than Jobi was to get his teeth pulled. I made him get the gas. He says he never even felt it. He sure looks cute with this get up though huh?
It all worked out!

Christmas Time

I made Jobi wear this cute little santa jocker hat while we decorated the tree. I thought he would hate it and take it right off, but he wore it the whole time. He is quite cute don't you think?
This is our tree. It took forever to put the lights on and Jobi was quite the helper.
We all got to open a gift on Christmas Eve and Jobi got the skateboard he wanted. He was pretty happy about it. He needs to get a helmet and maybe a little less snow and he will be showing us all what he can do.
These shoes are what I got to open on Christmas Eve. They are actually boots. I love them. Thanks Jon.
Jon got these slipper shoes. Doesn't he look like he is enjoying himself? He always looks like that.

Some Fun

Here is a picture of my two sisters and my mom when they came to Utah for some Christmas shopping. My other sister was lame and couldn't make it. She was just trying to cause some drama in our family! Just kidding. We missed her a lot. We had a great time and laughed a lot. My family brings out a different side to me. Sometimes an evil side comes out when I drive! We won't get into that.
This is my sister and her husband, I mean boyfriend! They are a cute couple and he fits into our family so well. In this picture he is a cowboy. Sometimes he is a skater boy!! He knows what I am talking about.

JOBI'S BAPTISM

Jobi and Uncle Cole getting ready to be baptized. I asked Cole to baptize Jobi and Uncle Jaren to confirm him. It all worked out and we had a great time.

All the kids together. It doesn't happen often. Aren't they the cutest? When Jobi went down in the water and came up, Keller said really loud, "You did it Jobi!" It was so cute. Everyone laughed.
The rare picture of my whole family together except my brother Chad. He is the only one who didn't come. We really need to get a family picture taken. The last one we got taken was in the 80's. We all had great feathered hair and no kids or husbands. Its time guys!
